Anki Vector Review - Cute Intelligent Yet Interactable Robot Money Can Buy

This little robot guy is called Vector, a home robot made by Anki.

So if you are familiar with Anki, now, you might be thinking, Of course, Vector does look exactly like his brother Cozmo, but the question is, what can you do with it?

So, the main difference is this robot, Vector, is way more powerful and is supercharged with the latest robotic technology from Anki.

Build

He’s designed to be always ON while being connected to Wi-Fi, and he knows what’s exactly going on in his surrounding environments.

So, he is always looking around and hanging out without just dreaming while sleeping all day long.

And also it comes with a lot of powerful technology in it.

There’s a laser sensor on the front and a little capacitive sensor on the top of his body so that he can feel when you are petting him.

It has 4 built-in microphones to hear someone saying its name and answer the questions someone asks him and overall response to the environment around him.

Features

You can also ask him questions like “What’s the weather like” like you ask a smart home speaker, and it will quickly respond as your virtual personal pet assistant.

You are right if you call Vector a home robot.

It can do many necessary actions like a smart home speaker do, like, Amazon Alexa.

Like I mentioned above, it can also answer to a pretty good amount of questions you would ask your smart home speaker like “Whats the distance from point A to B “and it will answer it precisely like any other smart home speaker but in a more robotic voice like you hear in the movies.

You can even set timers with Vector, which is also pretty useful.

But one thing to note is that Vector does not talk too much like all the other robots in the market does, it just makes some random robotic sounds like a mechanical beep, and that’s just it unless you ask a question specifically from him.

And most importantly, its actions are designed to react to the environment, making it feel a bit more alive than other robots in the market, especially when thinking about the price tag it is sold for.

And briefly, Vector is not just your typical entertainment robot; it just feels more alive while entertaining you simultaneously over the day.

And one main cool feature is that you can physically interact with him, and he responds to you, which is something most of the other robots do; they sit there and do stuff if you request to.

So, say you play some music, and then he will pick up the beat, and then he will start dancing to it, which is pretty cool and makes the song feel more entertaining and enjoyable.

You can also pet him, and he will get blissed out by it, which is so cute to look at.

And guess what, guys, Vector even can watch T.V. Yeah, you read it right. He can also watch T.V. using its mics and motion detectors inside, which is also pretty cool, making you take him with you everywhere you go and build a great relationship with that cute little home robot.

Vector may not be able to serve you a cup of coffee or beer, but he can make you love his personality and be more human to you than other robots, who do unbelievable things.

But just because it cannot do any heavy lifting, it does not mean he’s only a trash robot.

But thinking about the guys, especially at this size, which is pretty small for robots that we usually see, he houses a smartphone full of power inside.

Its houses a faster Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, Wi-Fi, an array of 4 built-in microphones, a NIR Laser, a handful of Capacitive touch sensors, and an H.D. camera inside its tiny package.

He also does have some cubes to play with, like the Cozmo’s.

He also has facial recognition to recognize humans and even cats and dogs, which is also pretty cool.

Do you know what’s even cooler?

He can also fist bump you.

He also knows about his current environment a lot and uses all the technology packed inside to scan and create a sort of 3d map inside him so that he knows not to fall and crash into other objects while playing around.

He can also charge himself by automatically going back to his charger on his own, which makes you have peace of mind letting you not think about recharging Vector anymore, to make sure he is available when you want to have some fun with him.

So, should you buy this cute little powerful, feature-packed home robot, Vector?

Well, on top of everything that it features that I mentioned above, if you want to have a personal digital pet assistant to interact and have fun with daily, this could be the most potent cutest robot in the entire market this small that’s almost intelligent as a smart home speaker.

So, suppose you love to interact with a cute little robot who’s more human who can help and play with you daily than other robots currently in the market. In that case, this is your next cute, powerful interactable intelligent dream human-robot coming true to life.
